This watercolour triptych is a continuation of Gwen’s previous work exploring person as object. Whilst the primary colours and shapes might be familiar to us, invoking ideas of child's play, the oddly transfigured characters with blank expressions create a feeling of disquiet at odds with the image.

Artist Biography

Gwen Evans is a figurative oil painter based in Liverpool and Manchester and graduated with a Fine Art degree from the Manchester School of Art in 2018. She has showcased work across the UK, notable exhibits include:
