‘It’s Paradise Up North’ at Paradise Works

Save the date for our upcoming exhibition, It’s Paradise Up North—a celebration, interrogation, and reimagining of Northern identity. Whether you hail from the North, have a passion for its landscapes and culture, or your work explores the resilience, humour, and raw beauty of Northern grit in unexpected ways, we want to hear from you.

We are seeking submissions across all mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, installation, performance, moving image, and sound. We’re particularly interested in work that challenges traditional Northern narratives, offers fresh perspectives, or reflects on the evolving socio-political landscape of the region.

Exhibition Dates: Friday 28th March - Saturday 19th April 

Opening Night and Prize Ceremony: Friday 28th March 

Location: Paradise Works, Salford, Manchester, M3 7LE

Prizes:

  • A solo exhibition at Paradise Works in 2026

  • SOHO HOUSE PRIZE: one year membership, £3,000 Soho House credit and their work is added to the Soho House Collection in Manchester. 

  • Mentoring with Curator, Zoe Watson for a year (4 sessions included) 

  • Associate membership with Castlefield Gallery 

  • £200 Cash Prize from Smolensky Gallery 

  • £1000 R&D Prize from Bloxham Charitable Trust

  • Creative and Local Venue Hamper including: £100 voucher for 2 for 10 Tib Lane, Fred Aldous Voucher of £30, MIF 25 Tickets, Lowry Tickets, Wine tasting evening at Flawd for 2, Tickets for Manchester Art Fair 2025.
