Paradise Works to present Fleur Yearsley at The Manchester Contemporary 2022
Paradise Works is pleased to present studio member and painter Fleur Yearsley as part of this year’s contemporary art fair. Through pop culture imagery and her recognisable northern soul humour, Yearsley explores youth culture, desire, and mortality. The artists candied colour schemes and repeatedly used items – socks, shoes, thongs, palm trees, cigarette butts, footballs and Lego toys – capture fragments of everyday life. From the private homes of our childhood to the nightclubs where we danced our youth away, to our first pet watching our washing tumble to the rhythm of life passing by.
We are delighted to be part of The Manchester Contemporary After Party, welcoming international curators and collectors to our Saturday night event on Saturday 5 November, 7-10pm.
