Meet Our New Director
We’re delighted to announce we have appointed Jessica Bennett as our new director. We’re excited to begin this new chapter in our development and would like to wish her a warm welcome to the Paradise Works team. An independent curator, Jessica’s research and curatorial practice seeks to explore conditions of contemporary society through which to better understand a future built on sustainability, solidarity and care. This has seen her work with key organisations in the UK, such as the Liverpool Biennial, The NewBridge Project, System Gallery, PINK, and more recently, Factory International (MIF).
“Paradise Works has been an organisation I have admired for years and I cannot wait to begin working with the team. Over the last few years in Manchester, I have learnt so much from artists here and I really hope to continue these relationships supporting their artistic practice and development. I am keen to continue the thriving community at Paradise Works as well as sustaining its longevity for the future. It goes unrecognised that Hilary Jack and Lucy Harvey have succeeded in creating a remarkable space within Manchester with their dedication, leadership and care to the local artistic community. I want to thank them for all their hard work and I hope I can bring a fresh perspective to the organisation whilst honouring their legacy.”- Jessica Bennett
